NGO claims landmark case means fast fashion giant can no longer post unsubstantiated climate claims in Germany
BERLIN - Chinese-owned ultra-fast fashion giant Shein has been forced to drop unsubstantiated climate claims in Germany after a legal challenge by NGO German Environmental Aid (DUH).
Shein has signed a cease-and-desist declaration and may no longer advertise it will reach “net-zero emissions by 2050” without providing a credible explanation of how this will be achieved, according to DUH.
