Thermore turns textile waste into insulation

Scrutiny of recycled content claims intensifies across the apparel sector.

MILAN – Italian thermal insulation supplier Thermore has launched a free-fibre product made from a blend of 80% post-industrial textile waste and 20% post-consumer PET bottles.

The recycled polyester insulation, Ecodown Fibers T2T, can be blown into baffles, placed inside panels or applied by hand, making it suitable for both fashion and outdoor performance apparel.
