H&M and IKEA call for EU circular action

BRUSSELS – A group of major European companies including H&M and IKEA have delivered a joint letter to the European Commission calling for ambitious regulatory proposals they claim would create a “true single market” for circular solutions.

Signed by 12 organisations from an array of sectors in coordination with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, the letter states that circular business models are being held back by market fragmentation, inconsistent rules, and economic incentives that still favour linear approaches.
