Europe urged to share EPR fees with Global South

ACCRA - The Or Foundation says fees paid by fashion brands to the European Union's (EU) extended producer responsibility EPR scheme should be shared with countries in the Global South.

It comes after final approval for a revision of the Waste Framework Directive (WFD) including an EPR scheme requiring producers of textile goods to cover the end-of-life costs of collection, sorting and recycling.
