Fast fashion retailer hit with fresh claims over alleged non-disclosure of Leicester factory abuses
MANCHESTER – Fast fashion retailer Boohoo is facing fresh legal claims from investors over a 2020 drop in the company’s share price after serious worker rights issues in Leicester supply factories.
A further 11 investors have joined an ongoing lawsuit – adding £10m worth of new legal claims – alleging that executives knew the fast fashion company was using sweatshops in Leicester to make its clothes, says The Telegraph. The new claims mean total compensation sought is £245m.
