Apparel coalition targets clothing export impacts

Adidas, Bestseller, H&M Group and Inditex will fund work on circular textile systems in countries receiving used clothing exports

ACCRA — The Or Foundation, Adidas, Bestseller, H&M and Inditex have launched a new initiative to examine how producer responsibility systems could support countries receiving large volumes of exported used clothing.

The Apparel Recovery Coalition (ARC), launched at Kantamanto Market in Accra, will develop and test a two-year blueprint covering reuse, upcycling, recycling and waste management beyond brands’ primary sales markets.
