BIRSTALL – UK based designer and manufacturer of textile testing instruments and laboratory dyeing machines Roaches has released Orbis, new software which allows Internet of Things (IoT) solutions for textile testing machines in its range. It is hoped that this will help to improve traceability and transparency when it comes to fabric sampling and testing.
Testing instruments can link via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to either a tablet-based app, computer, laptop, cell phone or cloud-based storage. The test data report can then be stored on cloud-based systems or emailed to the relevant person or organisation.
