TALLINN – Estonian secondhand fashion platform Upty has raised €650,000 (US$705,000) via a pre-seed funding round, and has started a new round of investment as it targets a total of €3 million (US$3.2m).
The company has its sights on international growth but feels it would first need significant financial backing if it’s to scale its operations across the board, from establishing the necessary infrastructure to increasing its in-house team.
Co-founder Valentin Shevchenko commented: “[Our customers are the] type of people who look in a full closet and want to declutter it … Let’s give them this opportunity.”
