AMSTERDAM – The ZDHC Group, which is working towards the zero discharge of hazardous textile chemicals has today released its wastewater guidelines, which are intended to harmonise wastewater discharge standards across the entire textile and footwear industries and which go beyond regulatory compliance.

Currently, textile manufacturers often have multiple sets of guidelines depending on which brand they’re dealing with. The new guidelines have also been endorsed by the Sustainable Apparel Coalition as the two organisations seek closer collaboration.
