AARHUS – Danish sportswear brand Hummel International has announced that its climate targets have been validated by the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

SBTi backed Hummel’s targets to reduce its Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 60% and its Scope 3 emissions by 55% by the year 2031, against a 2021 baseline.

Hummel has further committed to 33% of its suppliers having science-based targets by 2026. The company says the targets provide the company with a clearly defined pathway to reduce its GHG emissions.
