BASEL – Diverting the ever-growing mountain of post-consumer apparel waste from landfill is a task way beyond the textile industry’s current capabilities, a new study has found.
In a trend particularly evident in the United States, researchers identified a sluggish approach to scaling up recycling capacities and a marked lack of clarity regarding where funding will come from for networks to be expanded or established.
