Higg Index owner buys the assets of the Better Buying Institute to promote responsible purchasing practices and decent work in global supply chains

AMSTERDAM – Cascale, formerly the Sustainable Apparel Coalition, has bought the 'key assets' of the Better Buying Institute (BBI) for an undisclosed price in a bid to strengthen its efforts to promote responsible purchasing practices.

The global, non-profit will integrate BBI’s tools - including the Better Buying Purchasing Practices Index (BBPPI) and the Better Buying Partnership Index (BBPI) - and employ its staff to help develop its 'Decent Work for All' strategy.
