New B Corp standards are expected to raise the bar for fashion brands’ environmental claims
B Lab, the global non-profit that operates the B Corp certification standard, has published a series of new standards aimed at further galvanising business action on the world’s critical social and environmental issues.
As of 2024, there were more than 250 apparel companies certified to B Corp, the aim of which to communicate to consumers that an organisation is achieving high ethical standards throughout its operations – whether that’s through its supply chain practices or support offered to employees.
