New fund will enhance AbTF’s holistic approach to environmental stewardship in cotton and cashmere growing regions
The Aid by Trade Foundation (AbTF), the owner of the Cotton Made in Africa (CmiA) standard, is marking its 20th anniversary with the launch of a new biodiversity fund.
With an initial allocation of €500,000, the new ‘Biodiversity Fund for the Promotion of Nature Conservation and Biodiversity’ aims to ensure that ecosystems remain diverse and resilient to climate change, so that cotton and cashmere production can thrive without degrading the environment.
