CERTahead targets greater textile value chain sustainability with Uzbek pilot demonstrating scalable model for global application

A group of textile industry specialists have come together to form a new consortium aimed at advancing what it calls ‘strategic sustainability’ in the global textile and apparel value chain.

The CERTahead initiative says it will use internationally recognised standard systems and certification schemes to drive improved environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance, to help prevent greenwashing, and to help build sustainable business models, particularly in emerging markets.
