IVL’s recycled PET milestone is aimed at delivering measurable environmental and social impact across multiple industries including the textile and clothing sectors
Synthetic fibre giant Indorama Ventures (IVL) says its ongoing investment in its global recycling infrastructure has resulted in a significant recycling milestone, bolstering growth in its recycled polyester supply chain.
The company reached its first major milestone of 50 billion recycled bottles in March 2020 and doubled that figure to 100 billion bottles in 2023. With more than 20 recycling facilities across 11 countries now in operation, IVL says it has now recycled more than 150 billion post-consumer PET bottles since 2011.
