ThredUp’s annual Resale Report says used clothing market had its strongest year since 2021 – driven by AI and online shopping

OAKLAND - The US secondhand apparel market saw its strongest growth since 2021 last year, according to fashion resale specialist ThredUp's annual Resale Report.

The used clothing market grew 14% in 2024, its strongest annual growth since 2021 and outpacing the broader retail clothing market five-fold, says the report by retail analytics firm GlobalData.
