Bid to help brands determine origin of recycled fibres

LONDON - Textile Exchange is to gather data that will eventually allow brands to discern whether feedstock for recycled textiles has come from plastic bottles or textiles.

It is part of the Tracing Textile Waste project, a two-year, multi-stakeholder project the industry body launched last year in partnership with Fashion for Good to standardise how textile waste data is collected and shared.
